Bible Study: Prayer Series 1
Memory verse:
Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Introduction:
One of the most important aspects of Christianity is PRAYER but it is also the most difficult area where many doctrines have evolved. Some people believe that only specific people (prophet, pastors) need to pray because they have a direct line to God. Christians have commercialised, contracted out, diversified and merchandised prayer. But is prayer really that difficult to understand? Come with me as we study and understand what prayer is.

How do we pray? Lk 11:1, 1Co 14:14-15, Rom 8:26
when do we pray 1Th 5:17, Col 1:9, 1 Tim 2:8,

What is supplication? Ps 30:8, Ps 142:1, Eph 6:18, Php 4:6 Dan 9:20
What is intercession? Rom 8:26-27,34
How does prayer work? Mar 11:24, Heb 11:6
Does God really answer all prayers? How?
If the answer to the above question is yes, why am I not getting results? Is there something I need to know?
What are the things that can hinder our prayers and results?
How does Satan hinder our prayers and results?
In conclusion:
We have seen that
Prayer is our mode of communication with the almighty
Prayer is very technical and we need to understand it in order to use and get the benefits therein.
Next Week
We will discuss satanic hindrance to prayer and the solution provided by God.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
